The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is a unit of local government that provides an integrated criminal justice information system, criminal history record checks, and management of federal grant dollars to Lucas County and Northwest Ohio.

The Northwest Ohio Regional Information System (NORIS) is a technology resource dedicated to information sharing and information integration among law enforcement, corrections, judicial, and other criminal justice agencies.  The system includes crime reports, mugshots, active warrants, handgun license registrations, inmate records, and criminal, traffic, and civil court case information.  NORIS provides a comprehensive variety of products and services to manage criminal justice data.

NORIS operates a Criminal History Record Check office to provide government, business, and private individuals with criminal history reports to be used for the purpose of determining eligibility in the areas of employment, rental agreements, childcare, elder care, and enlistment in the armed services.  The information provided is public record and complies with state and federal data privacy laws.  A standard Criminal History Record Check can be purchased for $8.00.  The cost for a Fingerprint Webcheck is $30.00.  Customers may request record checks either via fax or in person during normal office hours.  Click here to download a copy of the form.  For additional information, please contact us at 419-213-3839.

Grants Management administers federal grant funds for criminal and juvenile justice programs.  The Grants Management staff oversees all aspects of grants processing, including the application procedure, the local funding plan, awards, and program compliance.  Staff serves as a link between federal and state funding agencies, grantees, and sub-grantees.  By serving on an allocation review committee, local elected officials and community representatives also play an important role in coordinating the use of local funds.  Information on other public and private funding sources is also available from staff.
